CREATIVE DIRECTION

South Carolina is one of two states that allows lawmakers (not the people) to choose its judges. My clients are journalists focused on corruption within the local government, and they asked me to create an infographic that explains this unique judicial selection process. Talented researchers/journalists on the team did the research and provided me with a rough diagram. My role was to bring it to life using brand colors, fonts, and relevant imagery. Since creating the infographic, a subcommittee of the South Carolina Senate Judiciary Committee has been discussing a variety of bills related to judicial reform in South Carolina, which was the ultimate goal in shining some light on this outdated process! The discussion may lead to more accountability and less corruption in South Carolina, which is long overdue!
